Tuition and fees account for a portion of the money needed to operate Saint Mary School annually. Other sources of income are needed to keep our tuition at an affordable level. Encouraging parish members, friends and family members to participate in SCRIP, eScrip and schoolpop takes the total burden of securing these extra funds off of our families and spreads it around. One easy way that everyone can contribute continually to providing additional funds is through the SCRIP program. This program costs you NOTHING and is capable of contributing thousands of dollars each year to the school. If EVERY school family participated, contributions would be significantly higher.
The process is simple: you purchase SCRIP (looks like a gift certificate) at face value; these certificates are redeemable at a variety of establishments ranging from local supermarkets, restaurants, department stores, gas stations, etc. The school is able to buy these gift certificates at a discounted rate from the stores because we buy them in large quantities. The difference between the discounted price and the fact value translates to a direct contribution to the school when you exchange for SCRIP.
SCRIP
is available in the School Office and through an order packet
found in the Wednesday envelope.
